I&#8217;ll also show you how to update multiple users by using the <a href=\"https:\/\/activedirectorypro.com\/bulk-user-update-tool\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"3123\">Active Directory User Updater Tool<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When employees change departments or new staff is hired you will often need to make changes to their account settings in Active Directory. Update Manager Attribute with PowerShell<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use the <strong>set-aduser<\/strong> cmdlet to update the manager attribute. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this example, I&#8217;m going to update the manager on the user account Agnes.Haywood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1. Get Manager Attribute <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First, let&#8217;s check the manager attribute for the user. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>get-aduser -Identity Agnes.Haywood -properties *| select manager<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the manager attribute is set to robert.allen. Reed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to <strong>update the manager attribute for multiple users<\/strong> you would need to create a CSV file and run a for each loop on each line. Update Manager Attribute using the Active Directory User Updater Tool<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With this tool, you can easily update the manager attribute for single or multiple users. You can also update multiple attributes at once. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this example, I&#8217;ll update the manager attribute for <strong>363<\/strong> HR user accounts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1.
