Option 1: Export Office 365 Mailbox using Compliance Center<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
To export a mailbox you first need to create a content search and then download the search results. It’s a lot of steps, and so I have provided screenshots for each one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The steps will work with PowerShell Core 7<\/a> or the older PowerShell 5.1<\/p>\n\n\n\nUse this command to connect to the compliance center. You will be prompted to authenticate, this supports MFA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Check eDiscovery Manager Role<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
By default, a global administrator does not have all the permissions to export a mailbox to pst.
Here is how you check permissions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
- Log in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center<\/a><\/li>
- In the left menu go to Compiance (Under Admin centers)<\/li>
- Click on Permissions<\/li>
- Click on Roles under “Microsoft Purview Solutions”<\/li>
- Select eDiscovery Manager<\/li>
- Edit the eDiscovery Manager <\/li>
- Find your account and add it to the list<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
